Hello, I'm Allison and I love people.

All good design should start with understanding who its for and that's what I'm all about.

With a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Design and a love for making, improving, rearranging and then doing it all over again, I've always been passionate about the design process.

Throughout college I was a member of the Humanitarian Engineering Scholars Program as well as the president of Ohio State's chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America.

For me, college was a time of opportunity, fellowship and a true appreciation for my higher education. Throughout high school, I had the opportunity to serve a local school and village in Guatemala for 4 summers in a row, which really empowered my desire and love to serve others.

During my trip to Guatemala in 2018, I wanted to do something special for the school community. Before the trip, I ran a sunglasses drive and collected over 120 pairs to donate to the students at The Jungle School. I got the opportunity to teach all the kids about the importance of protecting their eyes against the sun, which is something they previously hadn't known about.

I believe there are creative solutions and opportunities to change the lives of many people in the world around us. Being open to teaching and having a constant willingness to learn is how we become better people and compassionate designers.

The pandemic caught me in the Spring of my sophomore year at Ohio State. It was truly a strange time to be in a collaborative field centered around working alongside others - but all alone (or on a screen).

Once it was safe, my classmates and I were eager to get back in the studio and workshop. The time apart only solidified how important collaboration is to the design process and how much I love hands on design and being around my people.
