This project was about learning the fundamentals of game design, by using the iterative process, and working through the mechanics and aesthetics. The game is called Coints and was collaborative alongside Anne Knellinger, Melinda Breck and Allison Krish.
Our original game involved more sabotage than strategy; the new triangular tiles allow the player to use more puzzle solving skills with each turn.
The game pieces were all laser cut, for precision. By painting the corners one of four colors, the players have to pay attention in order to form a complete hexagon,
The final design is Coints, a game of color, strategy and fun, that can be played with friends and family.
